Lecture Log MEE556-03
We finished the lecture on divergence of a lifting surface today. The class example was a uniform wing under torsional load.
This week’s homework can be downloaded here. Aeroelasticity Exercise 3: Divergence of a wing.
Lecture Log MEE211-02
Again. A bit late. We covered the basics of vector calculation and equilibrium conditions. Basicly, the first part of Lecture 2.
The homework for this week is Exercise 2 – Questions 7 and 8.
UPDATE: Solutions for the homework can be found here – Question 7, Question 8.
Lecture Log MEE556-02
We completed the chapter on control reversal. The class example was a 2D 2-DOF aerofoil (pitch and aileron) model. Derivation of reversal dynamic pressure and speed was shown. Finally, we discussed aileron effectiveness and the relationships between reversal dynamic pressure and divergence dynamic pressure.
Homework for this week can be downloaded here. Aeroelasticity Exercise 2: Control Reversal.
