Wind energy & aeroelasticity

Dr. Chawin’s research is centred on wind energy technology and aeroelastic phenomena, particularly the nonlinear behaviour of aerofoils under dynamic stall — the subject of his PhD at Imperial College London. Continuing work includes small-scale wind turbine design, vortex-induced vibration, and bladeless wind generators.
